Markets are arenas that solve for problems in difference and preference with cooperation and competition. Wherever there is difference between peoples, products and production the interactional space created is called a market. Because each individual chooses based on his/her own value hierarchy, markets are the only solution to differing approaches to moving about the landscape of choice. Where there are no markets there is no choice; and where there isn't choice there isn't humanity.
