Production
What sets humans apart from animals in action is surplus production. We toil. Whether that is necessarily so has been recently under question, but, only because our production has ceased to be productive as such. One can produce consumption, one can produce consumptive markets, and one can tool measurements to measure consumption as production(think GDP). We ought begin to differentiate. The consumer market is one of consumption(consume products); the service sector is one of consumption(consume time). Production creates surplus, saving time, storing information, and delivering us from undue hardship and chaos. Convenience consumption is a trick in sedation and unproductive by its very nature; here we focus on production to reverse this trend.
